Aether Systems Limited licensed IST's DeltaStream® to power its marketStream service. This provides streaming quotes for financial instruments in over 30 markets, on any mobile device, on any network, anywhere in the world. Aether Systems Limited subsequently became the Mobile Finance Division of TeleCommunication Systems Inc. (TCS) which itself has been absorbed into Stockgroup Information Systems Inc.

Aether Systems (UK) had for many years supplied a financial paging system, known as miniREUTERS, which provides a wide range of foreign exchange and commodity prices. This system has been extremely popular and reliable.

However, with the advent of 'smart' mobile phones and PDAs with wireless capability, Aether realised that it needed to get its service onto these devices.

It saw IST's DeltaStream Mobile system in action and decided that DeltaStream was the way forward - a great opportunity to enhance its service and make it available anywhere in the world that had a GPRS service.

So, Aether licensed IST's DeltaStream technology to form the basis of their service, marketStream. This gives users cost effective global access to streaming equities, foreign exchange rates, futures, commodities and fixed income prices from a number of exchanges around the world, as well as streaming news and streaming charts, all on their mobile phones or PDAs.

Aether Systems was subsequently bought by TeleCommunications Systems (TCS) who in turn were acquired by Stockgroup Information Systems Inc who continues to sell marketStream.
