IST is working with the leading suppliers of Java Beans to ensure smooth integration into Visaj and some have already signed up for the Works with Visaj program.

Look what Visaj offers you:
- A dynamic display of the user interface you are designing. As you put objects together, lay them out and set their resources, they are running in a live window exactly as they will be when code is generated right there on the screen in front of you.
- A palette of Java objects - by default the AWT, JFC Swing and IST Diamonds. Click on an object to add it to your design and your working window. Configure the palette to add your own or third party objects.
- Java Bean creation. As you put objects together you are creating Java Beans. A hierarchical representation is drawn in the Visaj window while the dynamic display shows you how they look. Change resources and alter the layout as often as you need.
- Easy-to-use layout editors for all the Java layouts. Drag and drop objects, specify constraints. Even the GridBag is fun to use.
- Full class editing. Add and delete methods. Change the class and method signatures. Set up constructors and a main method. Each Visaj window is one Java class so you always know where you are.
- An Event Binding Editor to connect Beans together. Link one object's action to the method of another object. Click and drag for rapid connectivity. This dynamic behaviour is immediately visible in the separate application window so you can try it and change it right there, right now.
- Powerful icon and image editing with the integrated image editor. Special filters and brushes are included for adding crazy effects. Choose your save file format and then add the image to your working design.
- Pure Java code generated from your design. Pure Java means platform independence. Design once, run anywhere. You can generate code anytime and any number of times. Generated files can be "updated" to retain any additional code you may have added.
- Resource bundle editing. Localise your application using the dedicated editor. Visaj generates the resource files for each language you specify.
